Two Rock Elementary School's Next Big Event!
Did you know that our school earned $500 last year by collecting box tops? TRSEF wants to top that this year! Here is how we are going to do it.
Box top collection is easy and we all can earn money for the school. Box tops can be found on hundreds of participating products. All we have to do is clip the coupons and send them back to school, checkout btfe.com for more ways to earn.
Beginning in January, TRSEF will be introducing an exciting new approach to collecting box tops. Students will be able to fill out box top collection sheets and drop them into a classroom envelope. At the end of the month the tops will be tallied. The classroom with the highest percentage of box tops will be presented with a trophy at the awards assembly! Look out for the collection sheet distribution on the week of December 20. Students can fill out as many sheets as they can or even send them back partially filled, we want them all! So please ask neighbors, friends and grandparents to help you support your school!
*TRSEF will be collecting box tops on Pizza Wednesdays throughout December. These new changes will go into effect in January. This new approach will be sticking with our school’s no candy policy. Thank you for support!
· Rather than collecting 4 box tops per child for each month, TRSEF will be accepting collection sheets.
· The objective is to more than double the amount we collect. By adding a competitive tone to the fundraiser we are hoping to motivate the students to collect more.
· Teacher participation is very minimal. All we need you to do is to keep laminated envelopes visible to the students and easily accessible. A classroom goal can be established monthly and announced at the beginning of the month. Obviously, the more encouragement from teachers will assist in the amount collected.
· Jennifer Tadlock collects and tallies the box tops.
· Jamie McCorkle will make laminated classroom envelopes.
· Teja Gilmour prints and distributes collection sheets monthly.
· Mr. Simpson will be contacted with information regarding the classroom with the most box tops.
· TRSEF would like an announcement made at the awards assembly honoring the class with the highest percentage.
· The class with the highest percentage will be honored with a trophy. This trophy will be displayed in the classroom for the month.
· Classroom incentives can be set up by room parents. This is completely optional depending on teacher approval and parent participation.
· This new approach complies with the school’s no candy policy.
