This will be a very busy year! The second graders will learn about rocks and fossils, life cycles of plants and animals, and forces that make things move. Third graders will learn about our solar system, light and energy, and the human body. We will all learn about our government and about our family histories. In math, second graders will memorize the addition and subtraction facts. They will be introduced to fractions, regrouping in addition and subtraction, and begin to multiply and divide. Third graders will memorize the multiplication tables and will learn to work with more challenging concepts in fractions, addition and subtraction. We will have special celebrations for the 100th Day of School and Chinese New Year. » read more...
