October 2022

News
Students at Two Rock have been pretty active the last two months with school activities and field trips. In September students from grades 3-6 went to the Academy of Sciences for a field. Thank you to all the parents who drove and were chaperones. Earlier this month, our TKK-2 went on a field trip to a pumpkin patch in Petaluma and, the success of this field trip was due to our parent volunteers. The parents of Two Rock are the SuperPower of Two Rock. On behalf of the teachers and staff thank you.
Our music program has begun this week, Mr. Pablo Rodriguez will come each Tuesday to introduce music to our students.
During parent teacher conference week Two Rock held a successful Book Fair in the school’s library. Parents Ashley Inman and Amy Vullo made the Book Fair a success and provided access for all students to purchase a book for their reading enjoyment.

Attendance
School begins at 8:30, please ensure your child is at school prior to the first bell. It is disruptive to the class when a student arrives late. When students arrive late, they may miss out on important information. If your child is absent please call in to excuse the absence.
Independent Study - While students are highly discouraged from missing school for reasons other than illness, family emergencies or special events sometimes necessitate travel out of the area. In order to avoid penalties for missing class for these reasons, students must contract to do work during the period of the absence. Independent Study Contracts must meet strict California State guidelines in order to result in excused absences.
A short-term Independent Study contract is a voluntary alternative to a regular classroom program of instruction when a student is absent from school for not less than three (3) and not more than ten (10) consecutive school days.
